Getting set to take it on track at New Jersey Motorsports Park next weekend! Molded seat needs to be covered, we still need to install the data system (hasn’t arrived yet), filled with fluids and it’s ready to go.

Mygale, it’s a French company. The car is a Formula Ford, which they call Formula F in the US now because Honda engines are allowed.

I didn’t anticipate it being a Mygale, I thought it looked like a Swift, I originally thought Van Diemen but the rear rockers go the opposite way on the one we had at college (Formula Renault but developed from their Formula Ford).
I guess the supply of Kent engines in the US isn’t as plentiful as over here, the Fit motor is probably a better unit.

The Mygale and modern Van Diemen look very similar. When I was racing in the UK they were using the Duratec and transitioning to the new EcoBoost engines, but then it all fell apart and British Formula Ford evolved into F4. For some reason the Duratec never caught on here though.

our Van Diemen was a bit of a bastard car, used mostly FFord parts with different suspension and wings, when we pressed Van Diemen for any info on it (it was an RF96 suposedly) they had no idea.

Sounds like an F2000 car with the Renault engine?

could have been, it was originally raced, unsuccessfully, in FRenault UK
